Chemical-Free Water Purification
How UV Mimics Nature
The
story of how ultraviolet (UV)
light can guarantee safe drinking water is interesting. Many years ago
scientists discoverd that a special wavelength of UV light can kill
disease-causing pathogens in our drinking water by attacking the cell
DNA.
It was discovered that UV light can
effectivley destroy all common bacteria, virises and spores which are
regularly found in drinking water including E.coli,
coliform, hepatitis, influenza, cholera, tuberculosis, legionella,
salmonella, anthrax, cryptosporidium, giardia and many more.
And UV light does all this without damaging our environment, and
without any risk of overdose whatsoever.
Everyday we hear news of
contaminated water supplys and boil-water orders being issued. How can
you protect yourself and your family?
UV technolnology mimics nature to
kill disease-causing pathogens in water. Acting just like the UV rays
in sunlight, UV rays in Wyckomar UV systems attack the DNA of the
pathogens killing the cells and making your water safe to drink.
In
order to accomplish this sterilization task, only UV light of a
specific wavelength is used, specifically 254 nm. This
wavelength
is produced (among many others) in natural sunlight. The Wyckomar UV
systems concentrate this germicidal wavelength of UV light inside the
UV reaction chamber to destroy all potential pathogens that may be
present in the water source.
This
chemical-free process borrowed from nature, produces no chemical
byproducts of the disinfection process and is very environmentally
sound.
Employing UV light to protect your
water supply is a decision well-made.
