The Solar UV-250 Tough-Tote System is perfect for use in places where electrical power is unavailable. This portable solar-powered UV water disinfection system includes everything you need to produce clean and safe drinking water from most surface water sources such as lakes and streams, at up to 2.5 gpm (gallons per minute) / 10 lpm (litres per minute).
We fondly refer to this system as the Wyckomar version of a Zombie Survival Kit.
All system components are stowed inside the tough-tote box so it's easy to position it anywhere, connect the inlet and outlet hoses, then set up the solar panels to point at the sun and you are ready to produce high quality drinking water
The system is extremely useful for off-grid and for emergency situations.
The solar panels charge the on-board 12 volt battery, this is used to power the pump and the UV disinfection system.
Pre-filters are included to remove sediments and freshen the water prior to disinfection with UV light.
The system is very simple to operate and maintain. Filter changes are quick and easy and the UV lamp is good for a whole year of use.
During extended cloudy periods the on-board battery can be charged using any 12 volt source including a vehicle battery. There is a convenient plug-in for connecting to the external source, and the plug-in may also be used to run an external 12 Volt LED light or other optional auxiliary appliances.
This rugged system is able to provide all the safe and clean drinking water you need, and can be used anywhere. All components are included making the Solar UV-250 Tough-Tote System the ideal solution for off-grid production of safe sterilized drinking water.
